Orthodontics

Orthodontic treatment straightens teeth and corrects bite alignment — braces, Invisalign clear aligners, night guards, and TMJ (jaw joint) treatment. Straight teeth are also easier to clean, which matters as much as how a smile looks.

Overview

  • Invisalign aligners are removable for eating and brushing — no food restrictions, no extra flossing workaround.
  • A night guard is a simple, non-invasive way to stop teeth grinding from wearing down your bite.
  • Every plan starts with a full assessment of the bite, not just how teeth look from the front.

What to expect

  1. Assessment

Digital x-rays and a bite assessment determine whether braces, aligners, or a night guard fit your situation, and roughly how long treatment will take.

  2. Fitting

Braces are bonded to the teeth in one visit. Invisalign aligners are custom-made from a digital scan and swapped out every couple of weeks.

  3. Adjustments

Periodic check-ins — every 4–8 weeks for braces — track progress and make small adjustments as teeth move.

  4. Retention

After active treatment, a retainer holds teeth in their new position. Skipping this step is the most common reason teeth shift back.

Frequently asked

It depends on the complexity of the correction needed and personal preference. Invisalign suits mild-to-moderate cases and is removable; braces handle more complex movements. We’ll recommend one honestly rather than upsell the pricier option.

Typically 12–24 months depending on the case, though minor corrections can be faster.

It protects teeth from the wear of nighttime grinding (bruxism) and can ease jaw tension associated with TMJ issues.

Yes — a meaningful share of orthodontic patients are adults. Teeth can be moved at any age; the main difference is that treatment can take slightly longer than in adolescents.
